Hello Legacy Land. It's me, Caliopie Legalos again. Listen, I just have to tell someone what's going on, even though this doesn't directly relate to "The Heiress" it's such a major event in my life that it can't help but have an effect on me and my entire family, so I feel like I need to explain some what has happened at HoHoHo this week. Like I said, its not about The Heiress, but this is really major, and it has really shaken me up. Ok. Here goes.
You know about my sister Isadora, right? And her BioBotany Fellowship in the Azahora Desert?
Ok. Good.
Early one morning last week, a body appeared on the doorstep of HoHoHo.

It must have arrived in the middle of the night. It was limp and lifeless.

I nearly tripped over it.... him when I went out to get the morning paper. I mean, I step out my door and there's this BODY lying there. Not like a drunk one from a toga party, but like a someone who is either dead or better off dead.

I was about to call the police, when I noticed the haircut. It was shaved and spiky like Isadora had hair when she was in Azahora. I thought I'd better wake Izzy up before I called the police.

When Isadora saw the body she screamed the most horrible sound I've ever heard her make.
"It's RANDY!!!"
That guy from your Azahora trip? That Randy? Oh my gosh, what's he doing here? He looked horrible, like he'd walked all the way or something - which was impossible because Azahora was thousands of miles away.
"We've got to get him inside, help me Cal" Izzy said, and together we dragged him inside to the couch. His clothes were filthy and destroyed, you could see his feet through the bottom of his shoes, and the only way we knew he was alive was because he groaned when we moved him inside.

Izzy sobbed over his body for the longest time. She brought him water but he was too weak to drink. She used a straw to drop small ammounts of water into his mouth. He was too weak to move. He needed medical attention.
"No, DON'T" Izzy said. "Are you crazy?" I asked her "Your boyfriend is going to die right here on our couch if he doesn't receive medical attention. I'm calling an ambulance." "No, you don't understand" said Izzy. "Something has happened, he's not just coming to visit, he wouldn't come in this condidtion if something terrible hadn't happened - something with the government, it could be anything. Something's wrong, he needs our help Cal."
The boy looked like he was beyond help, but Isadora was adamant that no one be called. No one could know he was even at our house.

Isadora stayed by Randy's side all day, and that evening, he started to stir. He sounded like he was talking in his sleep, sometimes it sounded like he said "Isadora" but the rest didn't make sense.

He became more and more restless until he woke up screaming like he was delerious.
It was scary. It was like he couldn't see or hear us or anything, he just called my sister's name. Isadora was becoming frantic. She couldn't stand to see him like this. "OK, she said, call a doctor, but not the local one, you have to call Uncle Gallileo's doctor, Doctor Hoo." Our Uncle Gallileo is known for his strange ways, but his dear friend Doctor Hoo is probably the most unusual you'll ever meet. Dr. Hoo isn't your average doctor - he's part scientist, part magician, part mechanical engineer. However, if you wanted someone who could solve a mystery and keep a secret, Dr. Hoo was your man.

Dr. Hoo came to see Randy. "Oh Der, Oh Der, Vis is nut goot. Vis boy - vhere did you say you got him? He has been dis way for long time - months - no no, nut goot. De body cannot survive dis way. He should have died, how did you keep him alize?"
We explained again that we had found Randy this way on our steps this morning, and that he lived in Azahora but we had no idea how he had arrived at our doorstep in Legacy Land.

"Azahora is founsands of miles from ere. Der is only desert and mountens between, at least two fousand miles, it would be eemposseebull to make that journey. I fink he is blind and deef, somefing as cooked 'is brains. You know, like eh chicken fryer? I weel giff you some medysin, if he does nut die tomorrow, call me and I weel come back and see him avain."
Isadora threw herself on Randy's body and sobbed. She could not be consoled. It was hearbreaking to see her this way. She loved this Randy, more than any of us had realized. I've been dating all these bachelors trying to find my true love, but until now, I don't think I knew what true love looked like.

Isadora stayed with Randy, never leaving his side for three days, hoping and praying for his life. She barely ate or drank anything herself. "The only time I'm at peace is when I'm near him" she told me.

Randy talked in his sleep a lot - most of it making no sense, but he would call out "Isadora" and sometimes sit straight up like he was looking around, but nothing seemed to register.
I didn't want to discourage Isadora, but it really looked to me like what Dr. Hoo said was true - that his brain was fried like a chicken fryer. It's so sad that he seems to have come this far but lost his mind.
It was time to call Dr. Hoo again.

Dr. Hoo returned at the end of the week. "Dee boy iz nut dead? Well, vat is a guut sign. I can do some more tests." It appeared that some of Randy's vision was returning.

He was able to stand, although not very well, or for very long.
"Der is one thing that I could try" Dr. Hoo said "but zee results coood be very very nut goot."
"What is it?" Isadora asked.
"I vould not normally use dis on a patient, it is a special elixir I haves been working on. Eeet might cure, heem, or, it could keel him."
"Kill him???"
"Yes, but he is very close to die anyway - or he could stay like dis, like fried chicken. Do you want I try it?"
"Well, what's it made of?"
"Vell, it is made of many things, some of it iz de blood from your eh Gallileo rezative."
"Uncle Gallileo's blood? You're going to give him Uncle Gallileo's blood?
"Vell, it is very experimentalmal, but alien blood hass many uniquea properties. I haf used it on a house plant dat was very dead, and the plant had a guut responsa."
"How good?"
"Uhh, not dead, it es not a dead house plant now. But my car? Eh, she make a bad sound and I give it to her, de car, and now the car, she die. But I fink that dis boy es more like house plant."
What kind of science was this? "Give it to him" Izzy said. "Izzy, we don't know what's in that - it might not be safe - even if it did save a houseplant." "I have to try Cali, I have to try, he risked his life getting here, I have to give him this chance. Give it to him Dr. Hoo. If Randy could talk I know he'd take it." Dr. Hoo pulled out a little green bottle and held it to Randy's lips. As the liquid dripped into his mouth, Randy grasped the bottle tightly and sucked all of the liquid from it, and then collapsed on the floor.
Isadora screamed.
"Dis sometimes 'appens" Dr. Hoo said. "How many times have you tested this?" Isadora said. "Uh, let me think. Yes, two. two times. But I think the boy has good chance. Put him back in bed. Call me if he is nut dead tomorrows."
