Izzy was guarding the cupcake table from her kids who had already paid several visits to it.

This is an amazing party Cali. You've really out done yourself!

Oh this wasn't me Izzy. Robi and Mom did the whole thing.

Really? I guess that explains why the McCarthy's are catering....

Ummm. Yeah. you noticed?

Cali, I'm your big sister. It's my job to notice these things. Did you know they'd hired them? Are you ok with it?

Uh, no, that was a complete surprise.

So I'm guessing that has something to do with why you're not okay?

Before the party. I went into the nursery to change Mohavi and he was in there. He acted like he was ok, but his eyes were red. Just like yours. I don't mean to pry. I just need to know that you're ok sis.

My eyes burned. Don't cry. Don't cry. There's too many people.

It's ok Cali. I just want you to know I care. Listen. If you want to talk we can sneak up to mom and dad's room. Since it's a loft, we can keep an eye on the party. People are mostly eating outside right now anyway. Then Plato's supposed to set up his Karaoke so the kids can sing Llama Mama songs.

Izzy has always given good advice. Maybe it would help to confess some of this to her. Maybe she could find a way out of it all.
Yeah. That might be good. Let me go be social for a few minutes and then I'll meet you up there.

Ok. I'm going to check on the kids and tell Randy to feed Mohavi when he wakes up and then you can catch me up. I want to help Cali. If there's anything I can do.
