I felt like there was a thunderstorm inside me. I was angry, I was sad, I was scared, and it was all happening at once

Nicole forgot her bundt pan. Jared and James were using it as a helmet. I thought they might have left it up here or something. Aww, come on Cal. It's just a birthday party. You're supposed to cry at weddings and funerals. Not birthday parties.

Well, it was over with us too. Wasn't it? Then one day I get a message on my answering machine and she said she was moving toVeronaville. 'Thanks for the good times George, I'm moving to Veronaville. Bye!' So I figured 'whatever.' Nicole has always been independent.

You mean she's never had a soul?

Come on Cal. She's the mother of my children. So like a week after you were at my place this lawyer shows up and gives me papers. I'm being sued.

Sued? For what?

Something about 'unlawful fertilization without a license' and 'child abandonment' It made no sense.

Unlawful Fertilization???

I found out Nicholas Brettweiler was suing me. He said I had gotten Nicole pregnant and then sent her to Veronaville so I wouldn't have to take responsibilty.

You're kidding?

Nicholas Brettweiler does NOT kid. He was suing me for my businesses, everything. Claming all kinds of distress and infliction and all that. He was going to take it all away from me.

Yeah. He seems to have a penchant for that.

So in the middle of this, Nicole finds me. She's very secretive. She tells me she's so sorry, she didn't know her father was going to flip out like that. She knew I didn't know about Jared. She says if we just get married, her dad will stop. He'll have no choice but to drop the suit. She even had the wedding all planned. She told me to meet her at the church the next day at noon.

The next day?

Yeah, it was this huge wedding too. She had it all worked out. It was amazing. I didn't even meet Jared until I saw him at the wedding.

You had an ambush wedding?

It was the right thing to do Cal. I wanted Jared to know me.

You didn't even try to fight his charges?

If I had fought him, it would have proven his case - that I was trying to avoid responsibility for Jared.

But you didn't even know!

Ignorance is not Exemption. Come on, do you really think I could fight him anyway? It was better this way.

I never wanted to hurt you Cal. I had no idea it would. You and Robi have the perfect life.

Well, maybe it could have been, if your father in law hadn't taken Ugg Bugg. He took Robi's career. What do you think that's done to him?

I swear Cal, I didn't know. Not until it was too late.
