Everybody got them. If you breathed, this Ican Hookem guy was in your face trying to sell you this house. He has all this tricky finance talk. All he wants you to do is agree for your family to stay here for 10 generations, and in exchange you're supposed to get this big house. Some kind of Suburban Development program.

Sounds reasonable.

Yeah, except, this is the house I got. Just a pile of bricks really. I had to build the walls for the bathroom myself.

So what happens if the future generations don't want to stay here?

Like I need ONE more thing to worry about. I thought you said you were going to help me out lady. Heck. I don't even want to stay here. I might as well just pack up and go. Having a Legacy was a stupid idea anyway. What was I thinking?

Don't yell at me pal. I didn't give you these problems. Nobody's forcing you to do this Legacy thing. If you don't want to do it, then don't. You should be able to make your own decisions. And who's to say the rest of your family is even going to want to go along with this? 10 generations is a long time you know. Forcing people to breed. That's like so uncivilized.

Yeah. I suppose there are a lot of things that could go wrong in 10 generations.

Well, uh, that's a really long time. Anything could happen. A couple generations from now there could be some terrible plague and everyone could get sick and die or get attacked by killer flies. And fires. Stuff catches on fire all the time at my house. The whole family could burn up and this plan of yours would go up in smoke. Then what?

Oh. I didn't think about that. That would be awful. Maybe a Legacy's not such a good idea.

I don't know. But I'm sure as heck not sticking around Legacy Land. It's not like I can keep living outdoors like this. You've obviously saved me and my non-future family a lot of trouble.

I dunno. But surely there's some place better than Legacy Land. I have to pack, I want to be out of here before dark.
