Burke Baby!
Good Morning Mrs. Legalos-Charvatt.

I do declare, you are looking mighty fine for a woman who has recently given birth.
Cut the smooth talk Marquette. What do you want?

I think we both know what I want Legalos. I want to see that Gen 7 baby.
And what if I say 'no'?
Legacy Land has been waiting years for this! You can't deny them!
This is my son we're talking about.
He's the Heir of the Legalos family, isn't he?
If he wants to be. I think he's a little young to worry about all that.

Why are you hiding him? Is there something wrong with him?
No. Of course not.
Is he hideously deformed?
No.
Is he an alien?
No.
Did you buy him from gypsies because you and Robi had fertility problems?
No.
Did you sell him to pirates because you couldn't cope with the stress of motherhood?
No.
Are you hiding him because you had an afair with your maid, Arvi, and you don't want people to know he's not Robi's?
Ok, now you're just being gross, Burke.
So you admit that he's not Robi's son?
No.
So you deny that he's Robi's son?
Cut this out Burke. Atlas is Robi's son. He's the spitting image of Robi.

What's it gonna take to make you go away?
An exclusive interview with the new parents with exclusive photos of Atlas.
Ok. Fine.
Really? I mean, yes? I can come back later if this isn't a good time.
Burke....
Ok. Now? Oh that's great. I thought you'd never....
You have 15 minutes, and don't touch the baby.
He won't even know I'm here.

Greetings Legacy Land, today we are sitting down with your Heiress Caliopie Legalos-Charvatt, her husband Robi and their newborn son.

First Caliopie, I'd like to thank you for inviting me to do this interview. Legacy Land has talked of nothing but Atlas since news of his arrival broke. I was having a binki wax when I heard the news, but what about you? Where were you when you heard the news about Atlas?

What are you talking about?
That has to be the dumbest question ever.
Where was I when I heard I was giving birth?
Yes.
I was in the nursery. Taking a nap. When I woke up, I was in labor.

So you admit then, that you and Robi were having marital problems and that you've been sleeping in the nursery in order to avoid him?
Burke. Seriously. Cut it out. Robi and I are not having any problems. We're very happy.
Then why were you sleeping alone?
I was pregnant Burke. I was taking a nap. Pregnant women are always tired. Have you ever been pregnant?

Well, my cat had puppies when I was in highschool, but the guidance counselor assured me that record would be permanently sealed, so no. No. I have never been pregnant....
I told you this interview was a bad idea...
So explain to me again. If you weren't sleeping with Robi, how DID you get pregnant?

Burke! I was taking a nap. It takes longer than that to make a baby.
It does?
Robi and I sleep together, there's no problem here. Quit making stuff up.
So when you say you sleep 'together' would that be in the same bed? At the same time?
Yes! But I don't have to discuss this with you.
So then you refuse to answer my questions about your marital problems?
There are no marital problems! Next question.

Well, if there are no marital problems then would you mind explaining why there are pictures of George McCarthy all over the nursery?
There are no pictures of George McCarthy anywhere in this house. What are you talking about?

Hanging above the bed, you have a picture of two Georges, do you not?
No. There is not. That is Cali's Great Great Great Grandfather Aristotle and his son Capernicus. Those are family pictures Burke. George McCarthy is not family.

So then you deny that he's the father of Atlas?
Yes! George McCarthy is not the father of Atlas. What a ridiculous thing to say.
Will George be submitting to a paternity test?
George has nothing to do with this family. I haven't seen or spoken to him for more than a year. Robi and I are happily married and Atlas is our son.
You've got one question left. Make it count.

Cali. You've stated several times in the past that you were not planning to have children. What changed? And has motherhood changed you?

I don't know about motherhood, but Atlas has changed me. He's the most amazing person I've ever met and I've only known him for a few weeks.
What changed your mind about having children?
I don't know. I don't remember it even changing. It's like I just woke up one day and there was Atlas, and it all made sense.

Why the name Atlas?
The name was actually Robi's suggestion.

The name Atlas was symbolic for me. After he was born everything looked different. Where we had come from, where we were going, everything was redefined.
It's like he came to show us the way. He's the future you know.
