Session Three : Friends

It's been a long time Atlas.

I'm sorry. I've been..... busy.

Last time we met you mentioned bringing your fiance to the next session.

I'm sorry, she couldn't make it. She had to work. Someone called in sick, and she's the assistant manager, and well, you know.

Of course. That's not a problem. That will give us a chance to touch on another topic.

What's that?

Friends. Does your family have any friends? People who might be able to help you with your relationship with your parents. Someone who might have a clue about what's going on.

Gosh. I don't know. I don't know if I can think of anyone. At least not someone who can help with this.

Why don't you start by telling me who you grew up around. Who were the friends of your family then?

Well there's Zeiss. I think we were friends since we were babies. We've been friends like my whole life.

Are you still in touch with him?

Oh yeah, he's my roommate. We're like brothers, except he's my cousin or something. Our moms are cousins anyway. I'm not really sure what you call that, but he's Zeiss.

Did your mother have any friends?

Oh, well ummm, Zeiss's mom and dad, Nysa and Anthony were her friends. At least I guess so.

They only lived like 2 houses down from us so our moms would get us together to play all the time.

Zeiss has twin brothers, Zacharay and Zephyr. When they were babies they cried ALL the time. My mom said she didn't know how Nysa survived those years.

Sounds challenging. I imagine your mother was a good support for her cousin.

Yeah, I think so. They talked all the time about everything.

So how's Robi?

Oh he's fine. He made a new friend.

You don't sound so happy about that.

I'm not sure I am...
